ROTARY DIAGNOSTIC CENTRE PROJECT

ROTARY DIAGNOSTIC CENTRE PROJECT seeks to provide various Diagnostic machines to enable the Amuwo Odofin Primary Healthcare Centre continue to provide quality but affordable healthcare especially in the area of Diagnostic tests and for partnership with Rotary in our many Health Screening programs like Genotyping, Hypertension, Diabetes, Prostrate Health and Cervical cancer screening.
AOLG Health services has 4 functional Primary Healthcare Centres (PHC) which provide the community with affordable health services. Festac PHC has acquired a reputation as the first port of call for many because of the quality of services and its affordability. This has resulted in a large influx of patients well and above its capacity. This has prompted AOLG’s decision to build a new and bigger facility to accommodate more services and enable them serve more people. Diagnostic services are usually obtained from 3rd party commercial sources and many patients are not able to afford it. There is the need for more modern equipment for diagnosis to be located in and managed by the PHC to assist with Diagnosis and for Health Screening programs.

Contribute to the popularization, sale of local agrifood products processed by the women and girls of Kalabanbougou in Ma

Project: « Contribute to the popularization, sale of local agrifood products processed by the women and girls of Kalabanbougou in Ma
The primary vocation of the agri-food sector is to feed people adequately by improving the availability, access and consumption of a variety of, safe and nutritious foods. Women’s groups and associations contribute to it through the local products that they transform and put on the market, however, they encounter difficulties in the sale of their products and one of the strategies to support them in the popularization of processed products is to introduce women and girls in urban areas to their consumption.
The project will also be used to raise awareness about preventive measures to fight against Covid 19. This project aims to bring urban women to introduce into the eating habits of their families, the consumption of processed local products and generate income for their own empowerment.
In the urban environment, the food mode, in the great majority of families, is based on manufactured products to the detriment of local products. Women’s groups and cooperatives are working hard to increase the conservation and availability of food beyond the seasons, while preserving its nutritional value and ensuring its safety. Nutrition-friendly processing processes can make healthy foods easy to prepare and therefore save time for other activities that increase women’s incomes and strengthen their leadership.
